Air Fryer Cheesy Hasselback Potatoes are so great; my kids really loved them. I jazzed them up today with some cut pieces of cheese and added some butter and spices for a great and easy air fryer side dish.

  • 4 medium Russet potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted, unsalted
    • 8-10 slices cheddar cheese cut into slices that fit in between the slots
    • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon chives dried
    • 1 teaspoon parsley dried


    1. Cut the potatoes.

      1. In a small bowl, melt the butter, and add salt, black pepper, parsley, and chives. Mix well, then use a pastry brush and brush over the potatoes.

      2. Set into the air fryer basket, and set the temperature to 350 degrees F for about 25-30 minutes. I basted them frequently with the melted butter and seasoning mixture. Once the potatoes are fork-tender, add your cheese slices.

        1. Place the slices of cheese into the cuts, I added them to every other slot. Brushed again with the butter and seasoning mixture and placed back into the air fryer for another 2-3 minutes. As soon as the cheese has melted, remove them.

        2. Plate, serve, and enjoy!
